About us

Vineyard in Norway - really?

Hello – Toyni and Arild here. We are the winegrowers behind Hebnes Vineyard. Since 2020, we have planted 6,000 vines of Solaris, Rondo, Muscaris, Leon Millot, Souvignier Gris, Regent, Bolero and Johanniter. In addition, we grow our own haskap (honeyberry) – a remarkable  berry that we also turn into wine.

Our Terroir: Hebnes vingard is south-facing, overlooking the beautiful Sandsfjord, rooted in well-drained sandy soils. Fresh sea air and the cool Nordic climate at 59° north create ideal conditions for wines with a distinct northern character. Our portfolio includes white wine, orange wine, rosé, red wine, sparkling wine and honeyberry wine – all grown and produced here on the estate.

Summer at Hebnes: During the summer season, we invite you to guided vineyard tours and wine tastings. You will taste our wines and learn the story behind them – from soil to bottle.

Planning an event outside the regular season? No problem. We tailor experiences for everything from corporate gatherings to larger celebrations. Throughout the year, we also host quiz evenings, open days and creative events you can sign up for.

Meet Team Hebnes: Behind Hebnes vingard you will find winegrowers Arild and Toyni, our youngest daughter Andrea, Aunt Kjellaug, and our hospitality team Camilla, Sigrid and Tuva. Hospitality is part of the Ryfylke DNA. Together with trusted local partners, we put our hearts into creating experiences you will remember.

Sustainability: At Hebnes, we work with nature – not against it.We are currently in the certification process with Norwegian Ecotourism, which sets strict requirements for environmental responsibility, hosting standards, quality and local anchoring. We are members of Grønt Punkt Norway and take responsibility for waste management and recycling across our operations.

In the vineyard, we focus on gentle methods, soil health and minimal intervention. In Vinstova, our tasting and dining space, we prioritise local ingredients, energy-efficient solutions and operations that support the surrounding community.

For us, sustainability means creating meaningful experiences – without exhausting the nature, people or heritage we are part of.

Looking for Something Extra Special? Combine your visit with an overnight stay in the Tornerose Dome at Tveita Adventure – a unique and nature-close glamping experience just 3 km from the vineyard.

You ca find us on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn – and occasionally on TikTok.
